Topics
Triangulations allow to represent complicated 2-dimensional objects and surfaces by a finite number of interconnected pieces. They have proven extremely useful in many application areas but also in mathematics. They allow some interesting interplay between geometry and combinatorics.
This seminar will study 2-dimensional triangulations, in particular under various measures of "quality," considering mathematical but also algorithmic aspects.
Time & Date
A first, organizing meeting will be on Friday, April 24th, 12:15, Bld. E1 3, Rm. 415.
